Ready to Roam: DVF & Mini J-Bars

by Aaron Beck on August 27, 2013

If you’re planning to stroll and shop this weekend in New York stop by the DVF Accessories Shop, 440 W. 14th St., off the High Line in the Meatpacking District.

On Saturday (Aug. 31) and Sunday (Sept. 1) from 1-6pm, DVF will be showing off the Fall 2013 accessories collection and the High Line Collection, featuring the 440 handbags and Envelope clutches. In celebration (and only at the DVF Accessories Shop on Saturday and Sunday), we’ll be offering an exclusive Mini J-Bar.

Inspired specifically by DVF’s new on-the-go 440 Mini Leopard Haircalf Bag, which is in hues DVF vividly describes as “leopard” and “paprika,” we’ve made ready-to-roam Leopard Paprika Mini J-Bars. Each bar is a salty sweet cheesecake ice cream pop, with swirls of Smoked Paprika Pineapple Sauce and leopard-spot-like cocoa nibs, dipped in rich, dark chocolate and topped with three stylish macadamia nut “buttons.” What élan! What style! What fierce flavor!

Here’s how we make Leopard Paprika Mini J-Bars in our kitchen in Columbus:

Adding smoked paprika pineapple sauce and cocoa nibs to Cloverton ice cream.

We don’t use machines to construct J-bars. Each one is made from scratch, by hand. Leopard Paprika Mini J-Bars frozen overnight and out of their molds (Above).

Dipping each leopard-like mini J-Bar in chocolate bombe shell.

Adorned with macadamia buttons.

See you all on Saturday (Aug. 31) and Sunday (Sept. 1) from 1-6pm!
